How to root the Pantech Vega Secret Note (A900S)

This guide will show you how to root the Pantech Vega Secret Note Android phone.

What is needed to root the Pantech Vega Secret Note?

In order to root the Pantech Vega Secret Note you will need the following.

  • The Pantech Vega Secret Note you wish to root
  • A PC

Step 1 – Download the USB drivers for your device

In order to root you must first download and install the USB drivers for your device which you can get from here. Download and then install them on to your PC and proceed to the next step.

Step 2 – Download the root file and recovery

Download the root file and recovery and save it to your PC. Save it to an easy to find location on your PC such as the desktop. You can get it from here. Once saved extract it to its own folder.

Make sure that the file matches the model number of your device before proceeding.

Step 3 – Put your device in Fastboot mode

The device needs to be put in to fastboot mode.

Make sure the device is powered off completely.

Hold Volume Up, Volume Down and Power together until the phone turns on and it should then be in Fastboot mode.

Step 4 – Root the device

Browse to the folder containing the root file and recovery from step 2 and run the FastbootStart.bin file. Wait 10 seconds and then restart the device by going to Reboot > System. The device will restart in to recovery and SuperSU will appear on the device.

Press the Home button to exit.

After that go to the Play Store, search for SuperSU and update it. Once this has been done the device is now rooted.
