Before performing any of these steps make sure you back up your Android device completely.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This is for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active with the model number SGH-I537 only.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>What do you need to root the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active?<\/h2>\n<p>In order to root the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active you will need the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active you wish to root in your hand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Step 1 \u2013 Install the Android SDK on to your PC<\/h2>\n<p>Install the Android SDK and configure ADB.\u00a0 We give you steps on how to do this <a href=\"\/?p=9493\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2 \u2013 Install USB drivers on to your PC for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active><\/h2>\n<p>In order for the device to be recognized when connected to your PC you must first download and install the Alcatel USB drivers for your PC which you can get from <a href=\"http:\/\/developer.samsung.com\/technical-doc\/view.do?v=T000000117\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After downloading, save the file, extract it and run the setup program to install the USB drivers.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3 \u2013 Download the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active rooting tool<\/h2>\n<p>To root the Alcatel C1 you need to download and install Kingo root which you can get from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingoapp.com\/android-root\/download.htm\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Download the rooting program and install it on to your PC.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4 \u2013 Root the Alcatel Samsung Galaxy S4 Active<\/h2>\n<p>Now we are ready to root the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active phone.<\/p>\n<p>Run the Kango rooting application you installed from step 3 and connect your Samsung Galaxy S4 Active to your PC.<\/p>\n<p>Wait for the rooting tool to recognize the device.\u00a0 Once it has been recognized click the <strong>Root <\/strong>button and wait for the process to complete.<\/p>\n<p>Once it has been completed successfully click <strong>Finish <\/strong>and then disconnect the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active from your PC.<\/p>\n<p>Restart the device and you should now see the SuperSU icon as a newly installed application which means you have successfully rooted the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.<\/p>\n<p>Once this has been done you should successfully have root access on the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[hoops name=&#8221;Rooting Guides Are No Longer Maintained&#8221;] This guide will show you how to root the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active phone.
