{"id":13080,"date":"2016-03-22T16:06:57","date_gmt":"2016-03-22T09:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.flexispy.com\/?p=13080"},"modified":"2016-11-14T15:53:36","modified_gmt":"2016-11-14T08:53:36","slug":"root-samsung-galaxy-s2-i900p","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.flexispy.com\/ar\/root-samsung-galaxy-s2-i900p\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Root the Samsung Galaxy S2 (I900P)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[hoops name=&#8221;Rooting Guides Are No Longer Maintained&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>This guide will show you how to root the popular Samsung Galaxy S2 phone from Samsung.<\/p>\n<p>Disclaimer: FlexiSPY is not responsible for rooting the Android device in any way.\u00a0 Before performing any of these steps make sure you back up your Android device completely.<\/p>\n<p><u>This guide is for Samsung Galaxy S2 models whose model number is I900P only!<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Rooting is done entirely by you at your own risk.<\/p>\n<h2>What is needed to root the Samsung Galaxy S2?<\/h2>\n<p>In order to root the Samsung Galaxy S2 you will need the following.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Samsung Galaxy S2 you want to root in your hand which has an SD card inserted.<\/li>\n<li>A PC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Step 1 \u2013 Download the USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S2 for your PC<\/h2>\n<p>In order for your PC to recognise the Samsung Galaxy S2 as part of the rooting process you first must download and install the USB drivers on to your PC.<\/p>\n<p>You can download the USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S2 from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediafire.com\/download\/jotj0yjj4st761t\/SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.25.0-retail.exe\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have downloaded them run the main program file to make sure the drivers are installed.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2 \u2013 Download the Samsung Galaxy S2 root package<\/h2>\n<p>You can download the Samsung Galaxy S2 root package from <a href=\"http:\/\/d-h.st\/ElJ\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 Do not unzip it.<\/p>\n<p>Save it to an easy to find location on your PC such as the desktop.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3- Copy the root zip file to the SD card of the device<\/h2>\n<p>Connect the device to your PC (make sure the device has an SD card inserted) and then copy the zip file from step 2 to the SD card <strong><u>NOT<\/u><\/strong> the internal memory.<\/p>\n<p>When you have done that disconnect the device from your PC.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4 \u2013 Boot in to recovery mode<\/h2>\n<p>Turn off the device and boot in to recovery mode using the following steps.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold down <strong>volume up<\/strong>, <strong>home<\/strong> and the <strong>power<\/strong> button<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The device should then boot in to recovery mode.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5 \u2013 Flash the root zip file<\/h2>\n<p>On the menu that appears choose <strong>Apply update from external storage <\/strong>and browse to the zip file you copied to the device from step 3.<\/p>\n<p>Once this has been done the device will be rooted upon restarting.<\/p>\n<p>Remember to go to the Play Store and download\/update the SuperSU application.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[hoops name=&#8221;Rooting Guides Are No Longer Maintained&#8221;] This guide will show you how to root the popular Samsung Galaxy S2 phone from Samsung.
