Rooting is done entirely by you at your own risk.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>What is needed to root the LG Optimus Exceed?<\/h2>\n<p>To root the LG Optimus Exceed you will need the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The LG Optimus Exceed you wish to root<\/li>\n<li>Access to a PC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Step 1 \u2013 Download the LG Optimus USB driver for your PC<\/h2>\n<p>So that the phone is recognised for when you plug it in to your PC you must download the LG Optimus Exceed USB drivers and install them \u2013 you can get them from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lg-phones.org\/lg-optimus-f6-usb-drivers.html\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2 \u2013Download the LG Optimus Exceed root files<\/h2>\n<p>In order to root the phone you must first download the root file batch file which you can get from <a href=\"http:\/\/d-h.st\/G5R\">here<\/a>. Download the file and save it in an easy to find location such as your desktop and extract it to its own folder.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3 \u2013 Root the LG Optimus Exceed<\/h2>\n<p>Now that we have downloaded the necessary files it is time to start rooting the LG Optimus Exceed.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing that needs to be done is to enable USB Debugging on the device.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, on the device itself, go to <strong>Menu &gt; Settings &gt; Developer Options &gt; USB Debugging<\/strong> and make sure the option is <strong>checked<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not see the <strong>Developer Options menu go to Menu &gt; Settings &gt; About Phone &gt; Software Information<\/strong> and tap the <strong>Build Number<\/strong> option until it tells you that you are a developer and that developer options have been enabled.<\/p>\n<p>Connect the phone to your PC.<\/p>\n<p>Choose USB LG Mode as the connection type when prompted on the device.<\/p>\n<p>Browse to the folder you extracted in step 2 and run the <strong>windows-install.bat <\/strong>file.
