Save the file to your computer in an easy to find location on your PC<\/p>\n<p>You now need to copy the root zip file onto the phone which is done as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Connect The Xiaomi Redmi Note To Your PC<\/li>\n<li>Copy the file you downloaded above onto the phone in an easy to find location such as the downloads folder.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Step 2 \u2013 Root the Xiaomi Redmi Note<\/h2>\n<p>You now need to access the update application on the device.<\/p>\n<p>To do this go to <strong>Settings &gt; General Settings<\/strong> and scroll to <strong>About Phone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Tap <strong>System Updates<\/strong> and, on the menu that appears, tap <strong>Select Update Package<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Choose to install an update package from the SD card and point to the file downloaded in step 1 which you should have copied to the device.<\/p>\n<p>Let the update be applied and then restart the device.<\/p>\n<p>When the device has restarted go to the app drawer and tap <strong>Security<\/strong> and then tap <strong>Permission<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On the menu that appears make sure the <strong>Root Permission<\/strong> option is <strong>enabled<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[hoops name=&#8221;Rooting Guides Are No Longer Maintained&#8221;] This guide will show you how to root the Xiaomi Redmi Note phone.
