{"id":12166,"date":"2015-10-27T10:53:54","date_gmt":"2015-10-27T03:53:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.flexispy.com\/?p=12166"},"modified":"2016-11-14T15:59:33","modified_gmt":"2016-11-14T08:59:33","slug":"how-to-root-the-htc-eye","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.flexispy.com\/fr\/how-to-root-the-htc-eye\/","title":{"rendered":"How To Root The HTC Eye"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[hoops name=\u00a0\u00bbRooting Guides Are No Longer Maintained\u00a0\u00bb]<\/p>\n<p>This guide will show you how to root the HTC Eye Android phone.<\/p>\n<p>Disclaimer<\/p>\n<p><strong>FlexiSPY is not responsible for rooting the Android device in any way.\u00a0 Before performing any of these steps make sure you back up your Android device completely.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>What is needed to root the HTC Eye?<\/h2>\n<p>In order to root the HTC Eye you will need the following.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The HTC Eye you wish to root<\/li>\n<li>A PC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Step 1 \u2013 Set up the Android SDK environment on your PC<\/h2>\n<p>Before you can run the rooting tools on your PC to root the Eye you must first set up the Android development environment correctly.<\/p>\n<p>In order to use Fastboot to root the HTC Eye you must have the Android SDK downloaded and installed on to your computer.<\/p>\n<p>You can download the SDK from <a href=\"http:\/\/developer.android.com\/sdk\/index.html#download\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2 \u2013 Unlock the bootloader of the HTC Eye<\/h2>\n<p>In order to root the phone you first must unlock the bootloader of the HTC Eye<\/p>\n<p>To do this you need to visit the HTC website which is located <a href=\"http:\/\/www.htcdev.com\/\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 Follow the steps to unlock the bootloader and, when you have done that successfully please proceed to the next step.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3 \u2013 Download the HTC Eye custom recovery<\/h2>\n<p>In order to root the phone you simply download a root file to your PC which you can get <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0B9SWmcUAdoOnc3hOLXpWVVFIc2c\/view?usp=sharing\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 Once downloaded save it and extract it to an easy to access location on your PC such as the desktop.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4 \u2013 Download SuperSU<\/h2>\n<p>Connect the HTC Eye to your computer and download the SuperSU APK file from <a href=\"http:\/\/download.chainfire.eu\/593\/SuperSU\/BETA-SuperSU-v2.19.zip?retrieve_file=1\">here<\/a> and save it to your computer desktop.\u00a0 Once saved on your computer, copy it to the connected device.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5 \u2013 Boot the HTC Eye into Fastboot mode<\/h2>\n<p>In order to run the root file you must boot the HTC Eye in to bootloader mode which is done as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure the HTC Eye is turned off completely.<\/li>\n<li>Hold down the volume down key and the power button until the phone starts up and it will be in bootloader mode. Use the Volume Up and Volume down buttons to select <strong>Fastboot <\/strong>and press the Power button to confirm<\/li>\n<li>When the phone is in Fastboot mode connect it to your PC.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Step 6 \u2013 Flash the custom recovery to the HTC Eye<\/h2>\n<p>With the phone in Fastboot mode and it being connected to the PC do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On your PC navigate to where you installed the Android SDK to from step 1 and go into the <strong>Platform-Tools<\/strong> folder where you will see <strong>exe<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Hold down the shift key and right-click in the window and choose <strong>Open Command Window Here<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the command window that appears type <strong>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img <\/strong>and press Enter to flash the custom recovery file from step 3 to the device. When that has completed disconnect the device from your computer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Step 7 \u2013 Root the HTC Eye<\/h2>\n<p>You now need to put the HTC Eye in custom recovery mode.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure the HTC Eye is turned off completely.<\/li>\n<li>Hold down the volume down key and the power button until the phone starts up and it will be in bootloader mode. Use the Volume Up and Volume down buttons to select <strong>Recovery <\/strong>and press the Power button to confirm<\/li>\n<li>When the device boots in to recovery mode choose Install and browse to the SuperSU zip file you copied to the device in step 4.<\/li>\n<li>Once that has been flashed successfully restart the device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You should now see SuperSU is installed as a new application which means that the HTC Eye is now rooted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[hoops name=\u00a0\u00bbRooting Guides Are No Longer Maintained\u00a0\u00bb] This guide will show you how to root the HTC Eye Android phone.
