{"id":10491,"date":"2015-02-04T14:12:46","date_gmt":"2015-02-04T07:12:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.flexispy.com\/?p=10491"},"modified":"2016-11-14T16:12:16","modified_gmt":"2016-11-14T09:12:16","slug":"how-to-root-the-samsung-galaxy-light-sgh-t399","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.flexispy.com\/zh-hans\/how-to-root-the-samsung-galaxy-light-sgh-t399\/","title":{"rendered":"How To Root The Samsung Galaxy Light (SGH-T399)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[hoops name=&#8221;Rooting Guides Are No Longer Maintained&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">This guide will show you how to root the Samsung Galaxy Light Android phone.<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Disclaimer:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0FlexiSPY is not responsible for rooting the Android device in any way.\u00a0 Before performing any of these steps make sure you back up your Android device completely.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>What is needed to root the Samsung Galaxy Light?<\/h2>\n<p>In order to root the Samsung Galaxy Light, you will need the following.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Samsung Galaxy Light you wish to root<\/li>\n<li>A PC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Step 1 \u2013 Enable USB debugging on the Samsung Galaxy Light<\/h2>\n<p>In order for your PC to recognize the Samsung Galaxy Light when you plug it in to perform rooting you must first enable USB debugging on the phone itself.\u00a0 This is done by doing the following.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><em>Tap the Settings option.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Tap the About Phone option.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Keep tapping the Build Number option (seven times) until it says you are a developer.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Tap the new Developer Options menu that appears.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Make sure that the USB Debugging option is checked.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Step 2 \u2013 Download Odin to your PC<\/h2>\n<p>Rooting this device involves flashing a custom recovery to it first. To do this, you must first download Odin which you can get from <a href=\"https:\/\/mega.co.nz\/#!UJAjlbwQ!HtKNlyDNekTZ3TMSw_KzGFFqQj8XLVyiVW0b7guswAM\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have downloaded it, save it to an easy to find location on your PC, such as the desktop and extract it to its own folder.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3 \u2013 Download TWRP recovery<\/h2>\n<p>In order to install SuperSU and root the phone you must first install the popular TWRP recovery environment.\u00a0 You can download it from <a href=\"https:\/\/mega.co.nz\/#!8cgDyZKR!D5kU6pwl2cSsNSofCQFmcZKNOcNY5Y63jNfnRulXIQ8\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once it has been downloaded save it to an easy to find location on your PC, such as the desktop and extract it to its own folder.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4 \u2013 Download SuperSU<\/h2>\n<p>Download the SuperSU zip file from <a href=\"http:\/\/download.chainfire.eu\/supersu\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have downloaded it, save it to a location that&#8217;s easy to find on your PC, such as the desktop, but do-not extract it.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have done that connect your device to your PC and copy the SuperSU zip file you just downloaded to an easy-to-find location on the device such as the Downloads folder.<\/p>\n<p>Disconnect your device from your computer once done.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5 \u2013 Root the Samsung Galaxy Light<\/h2>\n<p>Now that you have downloaded Odin and the custom recovery and copied the SuperSU zip file to the device it is time to root the device.<\/p>\n<p>You must first put the Samsung Galaxy Light into Download mode which can be done using the following steps.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><em>Make sure the <\/em><\/strong><strong>Samsung Galaxy Light<em> is powered off completely.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Hold down the Volume down key and the Home key and the power button and keep all three buttons pressed until the <\/em><\/strong><strong>Samsung Galaxy Light<em> powers up.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Providing you have done it correctly it should boot into Download mode and you press the Volume up key to start Download mode.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Connect the <\/em><\/strong><strong>Samsung Light<em> now to your PC.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Run the Odin software you downloaded in step 2.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Inside Odin click the AP option and browse on your computer to the recovery file (.md5 file) you downloaded in step 3.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Inside Odin click Start to begin the root process.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Step 6 \u2013 Install SuperSU<\/h2>\n<p>Once TWRP has been flashed to the Samsung Galaxy Light restart the phone and disconnect the device from your computer.<\/p>\n<p>You now need to boot the phone into recovery mode.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure the Samsung Galaxy Light is powered off completely.<\/li>\n<li>Hold down the volume down button and the power button.<\/li>\n<li>The Samsung Galaxy Light will boot into recovery mode (TWRP).<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>\u2018Install zip from SD card\u2019<\/strong> option and browse to the SuperSU zip file you placed on the SD card of the phone.<\/li>\n<li>Flash the zip file to the phone.<\/li>\n<li>Once done restart the phone.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You will now see the SuperSU icon on the phone meaning that you have successfully rooted the Samsung Galaxy Light.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[hoops name=&#8221;Rooting Guides Are No Longer Maintained&#8221;] This guide will show you how to root the Samsung Galaxy Light Android phone.
